The best african-american quarterback is?
joswms@sbcglobal.net asked:
Out of all black quarterbacks in the NFL today {include draft picks}, please list from best to worst.
i ask because it’s debatable. i think it’s McNabb, but i ask for a full list of currently playing black NFL quarterbacks best to worst (including draft picks).

Coming from a black american, why do we have to go there.
Why not list favorite qbs-period.

Warren Moon is the greatest…
Then Steve McNair
Randall Cunningham

Currently I’d have to say Donovan McNabb is the best. Of all time I’d go with Warren Moon, followed by Steve McNair. JaMarcus Russel has the potential to be the best quarterback ever, regardless of skin color.

McNabb… though if Vince Young shows himself to be proficient in his second year, he might take that top spot.

The best african-american qb is without a doubt, Donovan McNabb

There have been a few great ones (i.e. Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon) and even Vick sparkles every now and again. However, the way quaterbacks go down in history the best has to be Doug Williams. He’s got the ring to prove it too. Keep your eyes on Young though that guy is fantastic!!

Warren Moon! The 1st African American Quarterback inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in July of 2006.
He passed for 21,228 yards and 144 TD’s in just six seasons in the CFL. When he retired in 2000 at the age of 44, Moon had thrown for more than 49,000 yards 391 touchdowns in the NFL. Moon was selected to nine Pro Bowls and only Dan Marino, Fran Tarkenton and John Elway lead him in some statistics. Only Marino and Elway have completed more passes and have more yards in NFL History. He finished with more completions, passing yards, and touchdowns than anyone if you combine his CFL and NFL numbers (70,553 yards and 435 touchdowns).

Why? Who cares what race a person is…how about we list the best QB’s in the game today.
My list would be something like this:
1) P. Manning
2) D. Brees
3) V. Young
4) C. Palmer
5) T. Romo
6) T. Brady
7) S. McNair
Towards the bottom would be guys like McScabb, Vick, E. Manning, T. Green.
Race or ethnicity has nothing to do with it and to single out the best according to ethnic background is simply a sad state of affairs.

Donovan Mcnabb Is number 1# But we fans of his know him as (Da Don)!
August 27th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
Overall, my favorite QB to watch has been mcnabb. he makes it kinda fun watching him run for his life all the time, lol.
and to warequalspeace, ranking McNair and Romo and Young above the likes of Favre or Trent Green, you MUST be nuts.

warren moon, he’s the most prolific passer in football history. NFL plus his cfl stats
September 8th, 2009 at 3:11 am
steve mcnair, hands down
September 9th, 2009 at 4:43 am
warren moon i would say is the best he has the numbers to back it up. michael vick dosen’t even get honorable mention. hes onlt thrown for 2 or more tds in one game 4 times in a 7 yr career. all he can do is run. you can tell defenses dont respect his arm when they play a 7 or 8 man line. then i would say doug williams he played with tampa when they sucked then he went to the redskins and wins a super bowl. steve mcnair has showed toughness and skill not just on one team. where ever he goes there is a winner. donnovan would be next but hes been supported by great talent. he still had to have skills i will give him that. but i think hes only as good as the people around him unlike moon and williams.

Warren Moon, duh.
